I absolutely love The Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster. My kids LOVE the Butterfly Pavilion. How could you not love this museum?! It’s like a real life secret garden. Walking around a tropical rain forest with over 1600(!) butterflies that fly around in various colors and sizes feels straight out of a Disney movie.
They also have sea creatures such as live starfish (I love how my kids refer to them as Patrick from the Spongebob Squarepants show), horseshoe crabs and cat fish.
They also have a tarantula named “Rosie” who is a huge hit with the kids and you can stand in line and hold her (if you are brave enough!) and a kids play area to let your kids explore and enjoy.
This wonderful museum is having a $5 days every Thursday this summer from 3pm – 7pm…( Through August 13th 2015) Everyone over 2 years old’s admission price is $5 and children under the age of 2 are FREE. Such a great and inexpensive way to spend the day with your family.
