Dine Out for No Kid Hungry is a special day that raises money for the Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters Colorado‘s No Kid Hungry® campaign to end childhood hunger in Colorado. Dine Out in Denver for No Kid Hungry on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at one of these restaurants, and Cooking Matters Colorado will collect 10% of the days proceeds from the restaurant. All you have to do is enjoy your meal!
Your meal will help end childhood hunger in Colorado, by empowering families with the skills needed to provide their children healthy meals.

Where to Dine Out in Denver for No Kid Hungry Day
Black Shirt Brewing Co.
Black Shirt Brewing Co. is a progressive, artisanal brewery located in the RiNo Art District in Denver, CO. The brewery was founded by brothers Chad and Branden Miller and Chad’s wife Carissa. Their focus is on creating unique, assertive, vibrant, complex, and ultimately perfectly-balanced beer, and they brew everything by hand, in small batches.
Bones
Bones, part of Bonanno Concepts, is a chef-inspired noodle bar in the heart of Governor’s Park. Their menu changes daily to offer food as comforting as house-crafted steamed buns and pork belly-topped udon to the more exotic roasted bone marrow.
With counter dining for those who love the action of a completely open kitchen, or more intimate tables nestled along the wall, Bones has the amenities of a fine-dining establishment but priced and toned for a more lively experience.
Burnt End BBQ
Burnt End BBQ is Denver’s premiere BBQ joint, serving thick and juicy large portions of beef, steak, pork and poultry. Burnt ends are flavorful pieces of meat cut from the point half of a smoked brisket. A traditional part of Kansas City barbecue, burnt ends are considered a delicacy in barbecue cooking.

Departure Restaurant + Lounge is a modern Asian cuisine eatery located in Cherry Creek North. The restaurant’s ambitious menu captivates diners with authentic interpretations of Asia’s coastal cuisines, and its décor draws inspiration from luxury air travel.
Departure’s cuisine team is helmed by Chef Gregory Gourdet alongside Executive Chef Khamla Vongsakoun, who toured extensively across Asia earlier this year to research the cuisine, culinary techniques, and approach to service in countries including Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, and Japan.

The Infinite Monkey Theorem
The Infinite Monkey Theorem is an urban winery in the RiNo Art District. They source their grapes predominantly from the Western slope of Colorado and the results are top notch, well-respected deliciously accessible wines.
The locale of the winery promotes urbanity and social-mindedness, both giving the winery access to the city and the city access to the winery.
The Nickel
The Nickel is located in the iconic Hotel Teatro. The restaurant is focused on modern Rocky Mountain Comfort Food with an emphasis on distilling flavors from the best that Colorado and the region have to offer.
The menu features dishes and drinks that are made with locally sourced ingredients from farmers, ranchers, distillers and craft producers.
Olive and Finch

Ratio Beerworks is known for its great beers, brewed by a state of the art 20 barrel system. This large, industrial taproom features a variety of craft brews, live music concerts, comedy shows, food truck calendar and special events, often taking place in their incredible 4,000 square foot outdoor patio.
The Regional
The Regional located at Avanti Food and Beverage, is helmed by Chef/Owner Kevin Grossi, and features traditional staple dishes that have come to define food, culture and community for people across America.
The Regional sources its ingredients from Colorado farms and ranches, and is a gathering place where together guests are able to share food traditions while exploring new ones as well.
Second Home Kitchen + Bar
Second Home Kitchen + Bar features an ever-changing, seasonal menu that is characterized by modern spins on timeless favorites in a relaxed, urban setting.
Helmed by Executive Chef David Anderson, Second Home Kitchen + Bar uses modern techniques and locally-sourced ingredients and features meat, poultry and fish dishes with a variety of artisan pizzas that arrive straight to your table from the restaurant’s brick oven.
Sloan’s Lake Tap and Burger
Sloan’s Lake Tap and Burger features a unique and open plan space with an island tap bar at its center that includes 30 draft handles in a custom draft tower and about 80 beers total. They focus on local craft beer but also incorporate out of state handles that are chosen based on deliberate formed relationships.

About Cooking Matters Colorado
Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters Colorado empowers low-income families with the skills to stretch their food budgets so their children get healthy meals at home.
They partner with community organizations and volunteer culinary and nutrition instructors to offer six-week cooking courses, one-time grocery store tours and childcare professionals trainings to families across Colorado.
Their participants are a diverse population of low-income families, many of whom are enrolled in federal assistance programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps) and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
Through Cooking Matters programming, participants learn to shop smarter, use nutrition information to make healthier choices, and cook delicious, affordable meals.
Cooking Matters is key to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, which connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals.
