#1 THE MILE HIGH STEP

Stand exactly one mile above sea level on the Mile High Step . Located on the steps of the Colorado State Capitol building this marker is a great stepping spot to many other popular Denver sights and fantastic places to eat or drink downtown.
#2 THE BLUE BEAR

Denver has a love of big blue animals (Big Blue Mustang, aka Blucifer) but the Big Blue Bear at the Colorado Convention Center is the cutest in the city. The Convention Center hosts many major events and is conveniently located near downtown and on the rail and bus line.
#3 MURALS ACROSS THE CITY

Unlike your parents, Denver encourages drawing on the walls by commissioning local artists to create magnificent murals on main roads as well as hidden away in nooks and alleyways.
There are over one hundred to see in the city such as “Love this City” on the corners of Broadway and Arapahoe , “Larimer Boy and Girl” at 27th and Larimer, and “Oh Snap” at Williams Street and East Colfax Avenue, just to get you started.

#4 THE BROWN PALACE HOTEL & SPA

The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa was built in 1892 and with the distinctive triangular architecture it is a great place to get a picture. It has been host to many famous people including “Unsinkable” Molly Brown, multiple US presidents, as well as the Beatles and Elvis.
#5 DENVER MINT

Get a picture of how and where money is made at the Denver Mint. This lovely location has been making bank since 1906 and offers tours Monday through Thursday. While you can’t take pictures on the tour, you can snap photos in front of the building and #itsallaboutthemoney.
#6 DENVER’S UNION STATION

Since undergoing serious renovations in 2014, Denver’s Union Station is a magnificent building to get a picture in front of before exploring the shopping, food and architecture inside. A hub for busses, commuter trains, and a general feeling of hustle, Union Station has events happening year around.
#7 TATTERED COVER BOOK STORE

This is the place for a bibliophile to snap a selfie and get lost in the stacks. Tattered Cover Book Store has multiple locations and has been a landmark in Denver since 1971. Some of the most popular Denver authors and poets have lectured and read their work at these locations!
#8 SAKURA SQUARE

Sakura Square is a small plaza in downtown Denver marks the center of the historical Japanese community that established itself around 1900. In a short stroll around the block you can wander through the small memorial garden, visit the Denver Buddhist Temple and pick up some Pocky sticks at the Pacific Mercantile.
#9 CATHEDRAL BASILICA OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

There are a few quite magnificent churches across Denver and the Cathedral Basilica is one of them. It offers Catholic Mass and hosts many excellent musical events as well. It is worth walking by to see the beautiful spires and architecture, while keeping an ear out for the bells ringing on Sundays.
#10 DANIELS AND FISHER CLOCK TOWER

The Daniels and Fisher Clock Tower was once a defining feature of Denvers skyline and narrowly missed being toppled in the 1970s. It is now on the National Register of Historic Places and is lit up every night so you can take a group photo in front of it any time of day.
#11 COORS FIELD

Visit Coors Field, the home of the Colorado Rockies and catch a game when you can! If you are there during the off season, or are curious about the stadium you can take a tour throughout the week. There are many picture worthy spots around the stadium, and you can get a second picture at a mile high elevation if you climb the stairs to sit in the row of purple seats.
#12 MILE HIGH STADIUM

The Mile High Stadium in Denver is the place for Bronco’s fans to visit and cheer on their teams during the year. Take a tour and get pictures of you, or your favorite sports fan, at the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Museum or in the Keg Room!

#14 MOLLY BROWN HOUSE MUSEUM

There are many famous Coloradans, but Margret Brown aka “Molly Brown”, is certainly a favorite. Known for her philanthropy and for surviving the sinking of the Titanic, Molly is still popular today. You can visit her house, learn about the early days of Colorado, and see some of the pictures that were taken in her day.
#15 LANDMARK’S MAYAN THEATRE

Catch one of the latest movies and snap a selfie in front of a Denver Historic Landmark. The Mayan Theatre‘s building was designed in the Art Deco Mayan Revival style and is certainly something to see.
#16 DU’S HISTORIC CHAMBERLIN OBSERVATORY

This little park is a place to see the stars! Literally, as it houses the Chamberlin Observatory which has public nights and open houses so you can gaze at the heavens in a little park in Denver.
