Hello July!
It’s summertime in the Mile High and the living is easy. To help you get the most out of your July, we came up with 11 things to do in Denver that are sure to help you have fun in the sun.

1. THE BIG EAT
Kicking off our list is a foodie’s dream – The Big Eat 2022.
EatDenver’s annual food festival is back and better than ever – featuring unlimited bites, sips, and fun from over 60+ of your favorite bars, restaurants, and beverage brands. This open-air event is 21+ (sorry kiddos) and takes place on Thursday July 28th at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Be sure visit their site for tickets, restaurant lineups, and more.
2. MARGARITA MADNESS
You had us at Margaritas.
Cervantes’ Margarita Madness party is perfect for those of you looking to soak up some summer vibes – all while you enjoy stellar margaritas + tacos all set to a special DJ set. Taking place July 16th at noon, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer day. Grab your tickets here!
3. TOP OF THE TOWN
Sticking with a food theme this month – up next is 5280 Magazine’s highly anticipated Top of the Town.
Taking place July 21st, this all-inclusive experience features incredible menu offerings from this year’s Top of the Town winning chefs/restaurants in addition to a stacked open bar serving up your choice of cocktails, mocktails, wines, and hard seltzers. If that’s not enough to get you in the door the event will also feature live music, DJ set, giveaways, photo booths, and much more! Tickets are sure to sell out so be sure to snag yours while you still can!
4. SUMMER BREW FEST
As if summer Saturdays couldn’t get any better – this year’s Summer Brew Fest is a great way to spend a Saturday (July 23rd to be exact). Taking place at Mile High Station with daytime, evening and VIP ticket options this event is a must for all you beer lovers. With unlimited tastings of the best brews in Colorado, it’s a no brainer. 5. COLORADO DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL
Rounding out our list of events is the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival.
Running July 23rd-24th, this celebration of Asian and Asian American heritage is the largest Dragon Boat Festival in the U.S.! With races running from 8 AM to dusk and festivities running throughout the day, this is one event we can’t wait to check out.

6. GLOBAL DANCE FESTIVAL
Get your dancing shoes!
We’re of course talking about the Global Dance Festival. While we can still remember the days when Global took place at Red Rocks – this year’s festival runs July 15th-16th at Empower Field and features some heavy hitters of the dance music community. Tickets are still available and range from GA and VIP day/weekend passes and exclusive cabana access.
7. CITY GATES
What do Still Woozy, Goth Babe, Hippo campus, Cautious Clay, ford., and EVAN GIIA all have in common?
Why they’ll all be performing at City Gates this Saturday, July 9th. This dream lineup taking place in the heart of Denver’s Civic Center Park is sure to become one of your new favorite annual traditions. Tickets are still available, with the option to purchase at the box office.
8. DIXIE’S NEVER WEAR A TUBE TOP…
Are you in need of a rootin’-tootin’ good time this July?
Dixie Longate is back in Denver and bringing her hilarious new show – Dixie’s Never Wear a Tube Top While Riding a Mechanical Bull (and 16 Other Things I Learned While I was Drinking Last Thursday) to the Denver Center for Performing Arts. From crowns, cardboard cutout of Julie Andrews and a box of moon pies, Dixie is sure to give you a night to remember – even if she may not remember the whole thing. Be sure to grab your tickets and spend the night with Dixie, running now through July 17th.

9. CITY SKATE
Summer wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the roller rink!
City Skate – Denver’s first outdoor roller rink, is helping us live out our Stranger Things fantasy and then some. Aside from their incredible outdoor roller rink, you’ll also be able to enjoy a phenomenal beer garden, free mini-golf course and endless summer fun. 10. DEFIANCE COASTER – GLENWOOD CAVERNS
Our next pick is for all you adrenaline junkies!
Defiance Coaster is Glenwood Caverns newest, and dare we say scariest, attraction. This one-of-a-kind coaster is a non-stop action-packed thrill ride, like no other! Defiance defies convention with a 110-foot record breaking 102.3-degree free-fall drop, the steepest in the western United States.
11. VISIT A DENVER PATIO
