From Thursday, December 10th, through Sunday, December 13th 2015, from 10am -2pm, experience a special (and FREE) event with the Governor’s Residence Holiday Home Tours!
The Governor’s Residence, Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund, American Society of Interior Designers and Colorado Homes & Lifestyles welcomes the public to attend their free holiday tours.
The Governor’s Residence, is an elegant house, known fondly as “Colorado’s Home.” Built as a private residence in 1908, the house has been available for use by Governor’s since 1960, both as a home and for official Governor’s Functions. The 2006 renovation of the original Carriage House, and additions of the Tebo Visitors Center and Viki and Jack Thompson Gardens, have brought this stately house to a new level of beauty and service to the people of Colorado.
The Governor’s Residence welcomes well over 5,000 guests during the holiday season to view the decorations of interior design members of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) who competed for the opportunity to provide holiday decorations for the Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion.
The creative inspiration for this year’s decor is ‘Colorful Colorado’ and will feature the many majestic colors from the magnificent scenery of mountains, rivers and plains. The range of majestic color options will allow designers to use their originality and talent to celebrate the beauty of this State.
