With yet another snow forecast on its way, parents all over town will be asking the same question: “What to do with Kids in Denver this weekend?” I’ve personally asked myself this question more times than I can count, so much so, that I actually started this website back in November 2014 due to this very same question!
Since this question has instigated this site, and since I cover many adult-related events, it’s time to add to the site a new weekly category… the What to do with Kids in Denver this Weekend category.

Enjoy a special show at the Lone Tree Arts Center. In this wonderful adaptation, the classic story is told through Bridget and Stephen, a brother and sister on a sleepover at their grandmother’s house. When neither of them can sleep, they decide to act out their favorite story. With the things found in the attic and clothes from an old wardrobe, what’s real and what’s imagined begins to blur until the children find themselves in the deep dark woods with a wolf tracking them down!
SF Family Tree is a series designed to present performances in a relaxed, sensory-friendly way. Performers will modify shows to ensure there are no startling noises or visually over-stimulating components. Their team keeps sound levels lower than normal and keeps the lights in the audience higher than normal, ensuring audience members can see each other. Audience members are free to come and go if need be (there is always a “safe room” available) and are asked to wave hands rather than clapping.
Have a great family weekend and stay warm!
