The first ever Denver Yoga Festival, presented by Pogamat, will take place from Thursday, August 4th, through Sunday, August 7th, 2016, in two Downtown Denver locations: The Oxford Hotel & Union Station.
The festival is unique in its offerings in that it was created for the whole family, offers certification options for yoga professionals, allows for interaction among festivalgoers and their favorite yoga teachers, and will utilize Denver’s urban environment rather than escape it.
Founded by Sarah Russell, a local yoga teacher and international presenter, the Denver Yoga Festival’s mission is to bring people together through yoga, mindfulness and meditation.
“The mission of the Denver Yoga Festival is to create a community for everyone interested in yoga, while also acting as a springboard for the careers of incredible yoga professionals,” said Russell, director of Denver Yoga Festival.
“While Colorado is home to some of the most renowned yoga festivals in the country, there is currently no festival that leverages the amazing, urban energy of our growing city. As I’ve always been passionate about organizing events and retreats, it seemed like a natural progression to take this exciting leap and create the Denver Yoga Festival.”
The Denver Yoga Festival will feature asana, lectures and mediation, yoga brunch, tea time and meditation, yoga on Coors Field, a free kids camp, outdoor adventures, panel discussions, a yoga fashion show, vendors, live music & dance parties and much more!
Also, the festival will feature three pre-festival workshops including Reiki Certification, Adaptive Yoga Certification and Embody YOU: A Journey into Wholeness, and host some of the most spirited and influential yoga teachers from Colorado and the surrounding regions.
