BookBar is a locally owned and operated concept book store located in the Berkley neighborhood in Denver. BookBar is a combination of a book store and wine bar and is also a community gathering space where book lovers are encouraged to lounge, read, meet and discuss books.
BookBar also offers a food menu based on locally sourced ingredients and homemade dishes and offers on-site, recurring events such: Happier Hour Story Time, CoffeeTalk, and author events.
Broadway Book Mall

Broadway Book Mall is a locally owned and independent book store located in the Baker neighborhood in Denver. Broadway Book Mall is the child of the (now-closed) Denver Book Mall, and includes nine of the original Denver Book Mall booksellers.
The store’s collection features mystery, horror, science fiction, fantasy and general fiction, many of which are autographed. Most books are gently used, but they have a wide array of new books as well. They also offer a good selection of cookbooks, politics, women’s issues, Hispanic literature, African-American literature, gay and lesbian issues and literature, humor, children and young adult, gardening, books on books and on writing, audio books, as well as general non-fiction.
Capitol Hill Books

Capitol Hill Books has been open since 1981 in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Denver. This book store is Denver’s largest searchable database of used books. Books for sale include fiction, non-fiction, history, foreign language books and more.
This book store supports the local Denver community by donating a portion of the money from discounted red cart books to a variety of local nonprofit and charity organizations.
They also offer a 10% discount for teachers on books for use in the classroom, as well as a 10% discount on your used books for one year when you accumulate $100 in used books purchases on a bibliomaniac card.
City Stacks Books & Coffee

City Stacks Books & Coffee, located in the LoDo neighborhood in Denver, is a family owned and operated bookstore and espresso bar.
City Stacks specializes in fiction and non-fiction books and also features a kids section as well as gift items such as games, puzzles, calendars, T-shirts, pens and pencils, mugs, coffee and tea, press pots, chocolate, notebooks, pottery, and cards.

This indie bookstore, first opened back in 1971 in the Cherry Creek North neighborhood in Denver, and has been expanding ever since. Owner Joyce Meskis is the recipient of many prestigious awards for intellectual freedom and is one of the guiding forces of independent bookselling in the country.
