The famous and loved musical “Annie” is coming to life on stage this week!
This great production will be a brand new incarnation of the original movie and due to it’s recent adaption to film last year (starring Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx & Cameron Diaz) it will also be welcomed by the younger generation who weren’t introduced to the classic.
The show will feature “Annie”‘s iconic soundtrack: “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You,” and of course the ultimate favorite: “Tomorrow.”
The Annie Musical will run from Tuesday, April 29th 2015 through Sunday, May 10th 2015 (no show on Monday, May 4th) and ticket prices start as low as $20 per ticket and can be purchased here.
Buell Theatre, Speer Blvd & Arapahoe St. Denver
“The sun will come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on
’til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow
You’re always a day away!”

My kids love the original Annie and the few glimpses they’ve had of the comic strip. They sing the songs, too, despite the fact that they don’t exactly have a hard-knock life. They’re not quite as crazy about the remakes since then. This live stage version, however, would definitely blow them away…and me, too. Totally tubular–oops sorry–younger me comes out when we talk about Annie.
