CAPTAIN FANTASTIC opens nationwide on July 15th, 2016 and The Denver Ear readers have a chance to get FREE tickets (which include free popcorn and soda!) to a special advance screening taking place at The Landmark Theatre in Greenwood Village on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016 at 7pm!
CAPTAIN FANTASTIC, presented by Bleecker Street Media, is a thought-provoking and enjoyable film about fatherhood and family in the 21st century, featuring a stunning performance by Viggo Mortensen, one of the most interesting actors working today. Winner of Best Director, Un Certain Regard at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for the film’s Writer & Director Matt Ross, the film explores themes of child-rearing sure to provoke discussion and is also a fun antidote to summer blockbuster season.

Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, isolated from society, a devoted father (Viggo Mortensen) dedicates his life to transforming his six young children into extraordinary adults. But when a tragedy strikes the family, they are forced to leave this self-created paradise and begin a journey into the outside world that challenges his idea of what it means to be a parent and brings into question everything he’s taught them.
