The Cherry Blossom Festival is coming to Denver this weekend! The Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the Japanese American (JA) heritage and culture of Front Range residents through live entertainment, food and drink, arts and crafts, and informative exhibits and demonstrations.
This FREE admission festival will take place on Saturday, June 27th 2015, as well as, Sunday, June 28th 2015.
What To Expect
Performances by Denver Taiko, Japanese dance, koto and shamisen and martial arts.
Exhibits of flower arrangements such as the ikebana and bonsai.
Lectures on Buddhism.
Great food, drinks and desserts, such as: Teriyaki chicken, sushi, somen noodles, Japanese sweets( manju and mochi).
Speciality beers and sake.
Arts & Crafts vendors selling unique items such as: vintage kimonos, handmade jewelry, pottery, books, dolls and more.
The event will take place at the Sakura Square in LoDo (lower downtown) and will run from 11am – 6pm on Saturday and 11am – 4pm on Sunday.
