This week is Children’s Book Week 2016!
Children’s Book Week, celebrating its 97th Anniversary, is an annual celebration of books for children and young adults and highlights the joy of reading.
This annual event is administered by Every Child A Reader, a 501(c)(3) literacy organization dedicated to instilling a lifelong love of reading in children, and The Children’s Book Council, the national non-profit trade association for children’s book publishers, is an anchor sponsor.
Every year, Children’s Book Week, is celebrated with special events that are held nationwide at schools, libraries, bookstores, homes and wherever young readers and books connect. Attendees receive complimentary Children’s Book Week posters and tote bags.

Chris Howard, the author of the critically acclaimed “Rootless” trilogy, has released his new young adult novel sci-fi thriller, Night Speed, and will make special appearances in Denver this week in support of Children’s Book Week and his new release.
