The Denver Christkindl Market will be open for the holiday season from Friday, November 20th 2015 through Wednesday, December 23rd 2015 at Skyline Park (16th St. Mall and Arapahoe St.).
The Christkindl Market dates back to the 14th century. Originally, the fairs provided only food and practical supplies for the cold winter season, but soon the markets became a beloved holiday tradition and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.
Christmas markets are the perfect place to find a unique Christmas gift or souvenir, such as handmade toys, Christmas ornaments and decorations, pottery, and crystal ware. Enjoy live music and dancing, German, European and local craft vendors, authentic food and drink, and a true spirit of an Old World Christmas. The festival organizers, the German American Chamber of Commerce and the German Cultural Foundation, hope you enjoy this little slice of Germany in Denver.
There will be a Story Time in the Holiday Tent every Monday and Wednesday from 3pm – 3:15pm and every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30am – 11.45am, where an Usborne Book will be read to children under 12.
Enjoy a variety of traditional German, Austrian as well as just plain scrumptious food delights at the festival from award winning chefs and outstanding providers of fine foods.
The Denver Christkindl Market hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11am – 7pm and Friday and Saturday, 11am – 9pm. The market will close at 4pm on Thanksgiving Day.
Merry Christkindl!
