#1 ART GARAGE

Art Garage is a non-profit providing art education to the Denver Community. Classes include paint-along, creating mosaics with mixed media and exploring featured artists techniques. Art Garage has summer classes and School Day Out Classes for children who love creating and giving parents a little break.

#2 CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF DENVER AT MARSICO CAMPUS

Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus offers a variety of art classes and experiences. Visit the Art Studio and make something at the Clay and Glazing Studio, bake with the Chef in Residence at the Teaching Kitchen or discover other workshops offered during the month.

#3 THE CRAFTSMAN & APPRENTICE 

The Craftsman & Apprentice was started by a husband and wife team who wanted to create a space where children and adults could experience the joy of creating something with their hands. They offer a wide range of classes from Preschool Playdates (open ended play for children ages 1.5-5) to events for kids – After School Open Studio, or focused craft workshops- to events for adults.

#4 DENVER ART MUSEUM

Denver Art Museum features art events, explorations and classes popping up every month. The Museum features free admission for children 18 and under, a Free First Saturday for the entire family on the first Saturday of each month, Create-n-Takes, and other fun events!

#5 FANCY TIGER CRAFTS

Fancy Tiger Crafts offers classes for the older child and adult who want to get their hands of a variety of fiber arts. Featuring classes like needlefelting, sewing and knitting plus Open Sewing Nights and Knitting Help Night this is a sweet little spot to explore.

The Ink Lounge is a screen printing studio with classes from Beginning Ink on Fabric or Paper to classes on inking Tee-shirts.  They offer Open Studio time or Wednesday Craftshops for those wanting to play with ink.

The Mizel Arts and Culture Center offers a variety of classes for all ages including Music, Movement and Art, Artistic Tots,  Storytime Yoga, School’s Out Campand a Summer Art Academy.

#9 MY MAKE STUDIO

My Make Studio is perfect for the budding baker in the family. Offering classes in cake and cupcake decorating this brings art and sweets together for hours of delicious fun.

Sew You Studio has sewing classes for children ages eight and older. Classes range from intro to sewing, creation workshops and private lessons with sewing machines available for students if you don’t have one at home.

Teller Street Gallery & Studios offers a variety of paint-along classes including Family Painting, After School Painting or Kids Art Classes for ages 3 and up! Great for parent/child special time, or fun for the child who loves to get color on the canvas.

Violet Hive Art is a nonprofit focusing on the intersection of therapy and art. The classes for children and teens are focused on being age appropriate and while artistic and healthy emotional expression.
