Arabian Horse Day at Arapahoe Park

If Dad loves horses and/or horse racing, then the Arabian Horse Day at Arapahoe Park is the perfect way to celebrate this Father’s Day weekend! The Arabian Horse Association (AHA) in conjunction with Arapahoe Park, the Colorado Horse Council (CHC) and CANTER Colorado will host the first-ever, ‘Arabian Horse Day’ on Father’s Day Weekend. It’s the place to be! Calling on families, fathers and their kiddos, come out to Arapahoe Park and share in the celebration of the Arabian race horse! Kids and dads can participate in fun crafts and activities, go to lunch as a family, meet and greet with real-live Arabian race horse. $15 for Adults & $7.50 for Children ages 12 and under – includes lunch. Classic Car Show

If Dad is a car enthusiast then take him to the Classic Car Show! The 6th Annual Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association Classic Car Show, sponsored by Groove Automotive, features cars in categories such as Classic, European, Hot Rod, and Muscle cars. Register your classic, antique, new car, or motorcycle. They will have music, food, door prizes, goodies bags and category awards for participants. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class and Best of Show. Attending the car show is free and registering to participate in the car shows costs $20 for a car and/or motorcycle in advance or $25 at the event.

Register your vehicle by mail or in person at Recreation Center at Eastridge at 9568 University Blvd. in Highlands Ranch and fill out the online form. Pre-Registration ends on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 12pm,  after 12pm., all registrations will be accepted the day of the event for $25. Saturday, June 18th, 2016 from 10am to 2pm (Drive-In is from 8am–10am). The Classic Car Show will take place at 3900 Grace Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.

Cruiser Rocks

For the bike-riding and cycling Dad, the Cruiser Rocks Block Party on Bikes, is a great way to celebrate Father’s Day in Denver! Cruiser Rocks is a fund-raising block party on bikes that rides through the Washington Park neighborhood, benefiting the Denver-based LOVE HOPE STRENGTH Foundation. Held every June and October since 2007, Cruiser Rocks has grown into one of the most exciting outdoor events in Denver. The party starts in the parking lot of Ogden St. South.

The bike parade rolls through Wash Park and stops at a several locations where you get to play park games, visit some neighborhood dive bars, and raise money for charity! This is not a race, it’s a party on bikes and the ride is open to anyone 21 or over. Ticket prices range from $25–$35 for riding and include a free t-shirt. Raffle tickets for prizes are $15 for 5 raffle tickets, $25 for 10 raffle tickets and $100 for 50 raffle tickets. Juneteenth Music Festival

A great way to celebrate the music-loving Dad this Father’s Day Weekend in Denver is to take him to the Juneteenth Music Festival! Denver, Colorado’s Juneteenth Music Festival is one of the nation’s largest celebrations, drawing in record numbers of festival-goers and participation. This free event features live performances, art and cultural exhibitions, and food and commercial vendors; with partners and sponsors ranging from community support networks and organizations, to local and international companies. The Big Wonderful’s Summer Solstice Party at Stanley Marketplace

Enjoy a day of live music, food trucks and over 75 vendors by taking Dad to The Big Wonderful’s Summer Solstice Party at Stanley Marketplace! The Big Wonderful is back in action for their third summer of mixing up a unique blend of music, beer gardens, games, food, flea, and fun. This Saturday is dedicated to the Summer Solstice and will feature the Lowdown Brass Band, Hot Soup & The Copper Children.

Shop local artisan vendors, eat from a diversified selection of food trucks all while you sip on their specialty draft cocktails and craft beer. The Modelo food truck will be serving up some specialty treats and there will be activities for children from face painting to playing in the sand at the kids area, plus games for all ages, like Spike Ball, Tether ball and Corn Hole. Denver Comic Con

Comics and superhero loving Dads will enjoy the Denver Comic Con, taking place this Father’s Day weekend in Denver! Denver Comic Con (DCC) is a 3-day, family-friendly pop culture fan extravaganza, featuring the best in pop culture entertainment. DCC is a program of the Colorado nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom, whose mission is to inspire a love of learning, to increase literacy, celebrate diversity and build community through pop culture education.

Denver Arts Festival

If your Dad is artsy, and/or love art, then take him to the Denver Arts Festival this Father’s Day Weekend! The Denver Arts Festival is a fine arts and fine crafts festival that continues to be dedicated to supporting Colorado artists while also showcasing a select group of national artists . The Denver Arts Festival holds its annual premier event at Stapleton’s Conservatory Green Plaza in Northfield. The fine art and fine craft exhibition features some of Colorado’s and the nation’s best artists with over 50,000 people expected to attend. Denver PrideFest

Denver Dads that are part or support the GLBT community can enjoy Father’s Day Weekend at Denver PrideFest, one of the largest pride festivals in the nation! The Denver PrideFest is a free celebration of community, heritage, family and culture. Produced by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Colorado (The Center), more than 250,000 people from Colorado and surrounding areas come out to enjoy the parade, rally, music, entertainment, food and much more. Bluegrass, Beer & Bourbon Festival

Bourbon and/or beer-loving Dads can enjoy both along with some great live Bluegrass music at the Bluegrass, Beer & Bourbon Festival. The 3 Annual Bluegrass, Beer & Bourbon Festival, hosted by Ignite Burgers & Bar, is a free event that will feature live music from noon, a mini tap takeover with Ballpark own’s Great Divide Brewery with special beer tapping at 1:30pm and some Mile High Spirits sampling at 2pm.
