Haunted Field of Screams & Maize in the City are re-opening for the Halloween 2017 season!

On Friday, September 29, the Haunted Field of Screams opens its three frightful attractions for the 2017 season: Haunted Field of Screams, Dead Man’s Night Maze and Zombie Paintball Massacre.

On Saturday, September 30, fall for fun at Maize in the City as it opens for the 2017 season. Enjoy a convenient, simple and fun rural experience at Maize in the City with several fall attractions including free attractions for families to enjoy.

Haunted Field of Screams

The Haunted Field of Screams is an interactive tour of terror that leads you from one nightmare to the next. With the moonlight as your only guide, follow the trail lined by daunting 16-foot-tall cornstalks containing pure terror at every turn.

Whatever your worst nightmare – the walking dead, murderous clowns, chainsaw wielding madmen – all will be realized while journeying through the cornfield and encountering room-after-room that will make you scream.

With the moon and wit as your only guides, escape the impenetrable Dead Man’s Night Maze – the true corn maze haunt. With wrong turns, never-ending pathways and dead ends, you may never get out. Stay alert as lost souls and night creatures stalk your every move.

At Zombie Paintball Massacre, survivors must journey through an abandoned farm where the undead await in the shadows. The objective is to reach the zombie patrol outpost where you are trained to use high-powered paintball guns to fight for humankind. Then, head into the infiltrated cornfield and defend yourselves with a mounted semi-automatic paintball gun aboard a commandeered trailer.

“The Haunted Field of Screams provides an unpredictability other haunts cannot offer by building the attractions from the ground up each year,” said Mark Villano, co-owner and operator of the Haunted Field of Screams. “This year, visitors will experience an interactive, thrilling and raw fright factor across all three attractions that is sure to leave their hearts pumping.”

Maize in the City

The Crazed Corn Maze is a 20-acre maze that is fun for all ages. While visitors navigate their way through the cornfield, they are invited to engage in the one-of-a-kind smart phone trivia game. Choose a category or enter unique questions; each correct answer provides directions to the next checkpoint.

The Mini Maze is a smaller maze perfect for young children. With paper checkpoints, children will collect hole punches as they navigate through the maze. Parents and grandparents are welcome to accompany their children through this maze for free.

It’s exciting to see families come back to Maize in the City year-after-year to explore the new attractions we have to offer,” said Gina Palombo, co-owner and operator of Maize in the City. “This year, visitors will have the opportunity to launch ears of corn nearly 100 feet across our field with our all-new corn launchers.

Visitors are welcome to pick their own unique pumpkin from the pumpkin field. Choose from a variety of more than 20 types of locally grown, harvested pumpkins and gourds.

Maize in the City also includes Pony rides, petting zoo, jumping castle, air slide, an obstacle course, train rides, and special events and attractions.
