Swingin’ Denver, the one-stop source for swing dancing in Denver, is hosting a special event this Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at Washington Street Community Center.
Hoedown – Swing, Booze & BBQ, will feature live music by Odessa Rose (Denver’s premier Americana swing band), delicious Homemade BBQ and fixins, country cocktails and suds, performances by The Ladies & Gentlemen (Denver’s premier swing dance troupe) and swing dance lessons by Swingin’ Denver’s instructors.
Hoedown will also feature a special vintage inspired western attire contest. Come dressed in your best outfit and you will be entered into a contest. There will also be a photo wall, so you can capture all the memories of the night!

Swingin’ Denver is the brainchild of Kenny Nelson, an international Lindy hop instructor based in Denver. After spending the last three years helping establish and improve swing dance schools in Lisbon, Porto, Madrid, and Melbourne, Kenny is focusing his efforts on Denver by offering unique workshops, teaching advanced classes, providing an inclusive swing dance calendar, and spreading his love of swing dancing to new dancers and beyond. They offers beginner and advanced classes in Lindy hop, Charleston and other swing dances.
