Impact Founder, a photography based project that addresses the real experience entrepreneurs have as founders, is excited to announce its launch today at Denver Startup Week.
The project is creating a conversation around authentic entrepreneurship so founders don’t have to struggle with mental health, and feel disconnected and lonely in their experiences, where in extreme cases this can lead to suicide.
“Entrepreneurs often internalize our challenges, and in extreme cases it can lead to depression and suicide,” said Kristin Darga, founder of Impact Founder. ”We are creating a movement around authentic entrepreneurship, shifting the current conversation to build transparency among peers in the industry through sharing what’s really happening.”
35 local entrepreneurs and business founders are sharing their stories and being featured in Impact Founder’s premiere exhibit. Throughout Denver Startup Week you will be able to see the exhibit and join the conversation.
A photo exhibit is being hosted by Galvanize (1644 Platte Street) Monday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 from 7am to 5pm
A slideshow of the founders involved in the project will be playing at The Commons on Champa (1245 Champa Street) throughout the week.
The Rogue Launch Party is being held as a part of the Startup Crawl at Galvanize (1644 Platte Street, 4th floor) on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 from 7pm – 10pm.
A partial exhibit featuring 10 founders will be held at Denver Startup Week’s Basecamp (1515 Arapahoe Street) on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 from 1pm – 6pm.
Additionally, a photo booth is set-up at Galvanize’s Platte Street location for the Denver business community to participate and create a conversation among peers in the startup community.
