This Saturday, the Denver Public Library wraps up its 2017 LEGO® Building Contest. Visit a LEGO® building workshop at one of Denver Public Library’s locations and build creations inspired by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science! From the new Viking exhibition to dinosaurs and outer space, there are no limits to what you can create.

Then, drop off your creation at one of the 21 participating branches of the Denver Public Library with your submission form to participate. Judging will take place the following week and winners at each branch will receive a set of tickets to Denver Museum of Nature and Science or a LEGO® themed book.

WOW! Children’s Museum is hosting the Ugandan Kids Choir for a truly unique musical performance! Touring throughout the United States, the choir consists of ten children, five boys and five girls, ages 8 to 12, who perform traditional African singing, dancing, and drumming with incredible energy and joy.

The choir’s hope is to raise awareness and engage individuals in sponsoring children in the developing world, who are living in poverty, providing them with an education as well as spiritual and ethical training, leading to a better future. This cultural program is sponsored by the Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission.
