The 32nd Rocky Mountain Book & Paper Fair features thousands of books and includes some once-in-a-lifetime finds. There is truly something for everyone, from museum-quality volumes for the serious collector to books suited
for casual gift-giving.

The largest event of its kind between Chicago and California, the Rocky Mountain Book & Paper Fair also offers a wealth of vintage and rare paper goods, including postcards, maps, art prints, old travel brochures, posters, ads and ephemera from decades (and centuries) past. Hosted annually by the Rocky Mountain Antiquarian Booksellers Association ( RMABA), the fair has built a reputation as one of the nation’s leading antiquarian book fairs.

The Bug Theatre presents “Under the Bug Top: An evening of circus sideshow acts, carnival games, entertainment and more.” 

Under the Bug Top is a fun-filled evening of entertainment for the whole family. The lineup includes performances from Swami Bill and his Olde Tyme Flea Circus, Ginger Snap: The Electric Girl, Shea Freelove and his Bed of Nails, Magos Medicine Show Snake Oil Pitch and Burlesque from Vivienne VaVoom. The host and Carnival Barker will be the Bug Theatres own GerRee Hinshaw.

You can also check out the famous Cabinet of Curiosities. See the Fiji Mermaid and the Shrunken Heads of Bora Bora, check out the Alligator Man, a mummified leprechaun and an Alien Skull! In addition to all the exciting sideshow acts and entertainment, there will be lots of interactive carnival games for the whole family, plus carnival-style food.

The Denver Handmade Homemade (HAHO) Market will take place this Friday at the First Friday Art Walk in the Art District on Santa Fe. The entire Santa Fe strip will be closed (from 6th Street all the way up to 11th St) for a big summer festival all about art and food. Expect all the galleries to be open with live music, food trucks, entertainment, and 90 HAHO vendors.

The Colorado Renaissance Festival is ending its 2016 season this weekend and is the final chance you can go visit it till next summer! The festival is a thematic recreation of a 16th Century village and marketplace set in the picturesque mountain venue of “Larkspurshire”, just south of Denver.

Hundreds of colorfully costumed characters entertain continuously upon the village streets and on the Festivals 10 stages, performing 60 shows daily. More than 200 period artisans sell their one-of-a-kind works and demonstrate their ancient craft along the shaded streets and pathways. Tantalizing medieval delicacies and the finest ales and beverages entice the palette and satisfy the heartiest of appetites.

Back to school can be an exciting time in the lives of our children, but for many it is a source of stress. Imagine what it is like going to school without any supplies. These children need your help!

Join JCC Cares and Jewish Family Service this Sunday, August 7th at the JCC to pack up to 40 backpacks for local elementary school students in need. This is a great way to volunteer as a family, with your children ages 2 – 10 years, and really brighten someone’s day.

They need supplies and muscle, please sign up to volunteer and bring your donated supplies with you to pack.
