Denver Public Library‘s Ross-Cherry Creek Branch, is hosting the “Little Hats, Big Hearts” event this Friday. Come enjoy making a Valentine’s Day card for a child at Brent’s Place, decorating and eating cookies, and knitting a hat for a NICU baby. New to knitting? No problem, The American Heart Association will provide knitting materials, tools, and an instructor for this event. Channel 2 will also be there from 3:30-4pm to film busy crafters and their work.

Southwest Airlines and the Downtown Denver Partnership invite you to grab your family and friends and visit Southwest Rink at Skyline Park for the final weekend of ice-skating this season!
This Valentine’s Day weekend the following special events will take place:
On Friday, February 10th, enjoy live music by Montropo, from 7pm to 9pm, at the rink.
On Saturday, February 11th & Sunday, February 12th free photos with the ones you LUV from 12pm to 8pm, free hot chocolate from 12pm to 6pm, free face painting from 1pm to 3pm. Additionally February 11th will include free ice skating lessons from 8am to 10pm and on February 12th, there will be no charge all day for skate rentals, for children 12 and under.

Colorado Symphony will be performing a special family-friendly show this Sunday: Peter and the Wolf!
Peter and the Wolf is Prokofiev’s fantastical tale in which Peter and a myriad of unruly animals are brought to life by the instruments of the orchestra. The concert opens with Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, followed by Rossini’s Overture to William Tell and Stravinsky’s Russian Dance from Pétrouchka. The concert also features Powell’s How to Train Your Dragon Suite and Williams’s Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
