PURPLE RAIN is the semi-autobiographical tale of The Kid, a Minneapolis musician navigating the club scene while dealing with a romantic rival and a difficult family life. A massive hit upon release, it’s a showcase for Prince’s otherworldly musical, visual and sartorial stylings, and introduced the world to the glory of “When Doves Cry,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” and of course, “Purple Rain.”
All ticket proceeds will be donated to School of Rock Littleton, providing classes and camps for students and kids with a desire for music and performance.

2016 has become a year of mourning musical genius: David Bowie, Phife Dawg, Merle Haggard, Maurice Wright, Glenn Frey, and many others have moved on to that big stage in the ether above. But this Friday night, celebrate the musical genius of Prince (and others) by dancing with your feet and listening with your hearts. Expect lots of Prince, Bowie, and assorted other tracks by artists whose passing has impacted us so much; as well as their stellar selection of tracks that move us on the dance floor.

VH1 Special Prince Programming
VH1 will pay tribute to Prince in special programing through Sunday, April 24th, 2016. Prince’s movie, “Purple Rain,” launched the weekend long marathon and the network will run a block of his music videos.
