Opening Day for our Rockies is finally here, let’s play ball!
For those planning on tuning into the game this year, we rounded up 8 great places around Denver to help you celebrate Opening Day 2023. If you’re in the mood for some sun, fun, game day deals and more – have we got list for you!
1. McGREGOR SQUARE
Kicking off our list is an Opening Day staple – McGregor Square.
With their pre-game party kicking off at 8 AM, you’ll enjoy plenty of food and drink specials, their 66-foot LED screen, and post-game DJ set; it’s the next best thing to being at Coors Field.
Psst… seating is first come first serve so be sure to get there early.
2. OPHELIAS
Did somebody say Opening Day party?
Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox is celebrating the big day with brunch, sip and snack specials, giveaways, purple margs, and of course a watch party on their 20-foot screen. The party starts at 10 AM and is perfect for those looking for some darty action.
3. DAIRY BLOCK
While our next pick needs no introduction – Dairy Block is another great option for those looking to root for The Rockies. Complete with pop-up events running all day long, live music, and food and drink specials – Game Day on the Block is the place to be.
4. DENVER BEER CO. & CERVECERIA COLORADO
Denver Beer Co. and Cervecería Colorado’s Platte Street taprooms are kicking off the Rockies home opener with a little pre-game fun that you won’t want to miss. With gourmet hot dogs, purple beer, micheladas, giveaways and more; it’s sure to be a grand slam!
5. MY NEIGHBOR FELIX
Up next is a Denver Ear favorite – My Neighbor Felix.
This Opening Day their LoHi location opens early (10 AM) to help you kickstart your pregame with one of their signature Rockies margs or MEGA marg. They’ll also be serving up some delicious bites to help keep you fueled all day long.
6. AVANTI
Opening Day wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Avanti Food & Beverage.
Their annual Opening Day watch party is one of our favorite tickets in town. With seriously tasty food and drink options, plenty of TVs to catch the game, and a patio with a view of the stadium – this one is a no brainer.
Psst… they’ll also be giving away two tickets to the game AND free tuktuk rides for those going to and from the stadium.
7. TAP & BURGER
Speaking of TVs – Tap & Burger has TVs as far as the eye can see!
Not only will you have plenty of screens to catch first pitch, they’re also serving up some delicious bites alongside their impressive drink menus. With 4 locations across the Denver area, it’s perfect for those looking to stray away from the crowds this Opening Day.
8. BLAKE STREET TAVERN
Rounding out our list is a time honored tradition.
While we’re incredibly sad to see Blake Street Tavern go, we’re excited to spend one last Opening Day enjoying their Beer Garden, refreshing drinks, and those famous nachos as big as our head. It may be the end of an era but that doesn’t mean we still can’t have some fun.
