Let’s play ball!
Opening Day for our Rockies is finally here.
For those planning on tuning into the game this year, we came up with 9 places around Denver to help you celebrate Opening Day. Whether you’re in the mood for #PatioVibes, rooftop chillin’, gameday deals and more; our list has got you covered.
1. McGREGOR SQUARE
Kicking off our list is easily one of the best places in Denver to catch a game, McGregor Square.
With food and drink specials, yard games, AND a 66-foot LED screen – it’s the next best thing to being at Coors Field. With the festivities starting at 9 AM on Friday, be sure to get there early to snag the best seat in the house.
2. TERMINAL BAR
Up next is one of our go-to patios in Denver, Terminal Bar.
Their incredible Opening Day darty is back and better than ever! Some of this year’s highlights include: apple pie giveaways, DJ sets, a beer garden courtesy of Tivoli Brewing, frozen drinks, giant jenga and much much more.
Psst… for those going to the game they’re offering complimentary tuk-tuk rides to Coors Field.
3. AVANTI
No Opening Day list would be complete without a visit to Avanti Food & Beverage.
Their annual Opening Day watch party is one you can’t miss. With insane food and drink options, plenty of TVs to catch the game, and a patio with a view of the stadium – this one is a no brainer. They’ll also be giving away two tickets to the game at 12:30 PM, be sure to check out their Instagram to learn more.
4. DAIRY BLOCK
While our next pick needs no introduction – Dairy Block is another great option for those looking to root root root for the home team. Complete with baseball themed events running all day, live music, and food and drink specials – it’s easy to see what makes Game Day on the Block the place to be this Opening Day.
5. SPORTS COLUMN
With the word “sports” in the name you know they must know a thing or two about Opening Day. With TVs as far as the eye can see Sports Column is an obvious choice for game day. With unreal food and drink deals this Friday – you’ll have everything you need to support the team.
Psst… for you early birds, doors open at 8 AM.
6. BLAKE STREET TAVERN
Another great place to celebrate Opening Day is a fan favorite, Blake Street Tavern. With their Beer Garden in full swing, delicious drink, and nachos as big as your head – we can’t think of a better way to spend Opening Day.
7. TAP FOURTEEN
For those looking for some rooftop action this Opening Day, Tap Fourteen is just the place.
With over 70 beers to choose from and less than a block away from Coors Field, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some pre-game drinks or post up and catch some rays while you catch the game on one of their big screens.
8. FEDERALES
Let’s taco ’bout Federales!
If you’re looking to skip the hotdog this year and enjoy delicious tacos and tequila while you watch the big game – Federales needs to be on your list. With a lively atmosphere and plenty of screens to watch the game, we can’t think of anything we’d rather be doing on Opening Day.
Psst… don’t forget to ring the bell.
9. LOS CHINGONES – RINO
Last but certainly not least is Los Chingones RiNo.
They are partnering up with Desert Door Distillery for an incredible Opening Day Pop-up party on their rooftop patio with Rockies themed food and drink specials, live DJ and Desert Door merch giveaways.
We’re a sucker for themed food and drink, so with names like 9th Inning Nachos, the Grand Slam Dog, Dinger-Itas, and Where My Pitches At – you know where to find us!
