‘Tis the season to sparkle!
Luminova Holidays is back in Denver and absolutely needs to be on your holiday bucket list this year. Taking place at Elitch Gardens – this immersive outdoor experience transforms the beloved theme park into a dazzling winter wonderland. We were fortunate enough to stop by and can’t wait to tell you all about it!
ALL OF THE LIGHTS
The award winning, Luminova Holidays returns to Denver (this November and December) for an even bigger, better and BRIGHTER holiday spectacular.
With millions of lights and holiday entertainment throughout the park, you’ll feel as though you were transported into your very own winter wonderland. This year the park is decked out with over 200,000 square feet of larger-than-life light displays, a 65-foot tree, the most Instagrammable candy cane tunnel we’ve ever seen, and so much more!
For those looking for an elevated experience (literally) you’ll have plenty of chances to enjoy the lights from high above on the Ferris Wheel or while you ride some of your favorite Elitch Garden rides. Luminova Holidays opens on November 25th and runs through January 1, 2023. Tickets can be found here.
Psst… be sure to keep an eye out for a special visit from St. Nick.
THE EXPERIENCE
We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of Luminova Holidays and can’t wait to tell you all about it.
At first glance – we were taken aback by all the festive holiday lights and decor. As you first walk in you’ll be greeted by some truly impressive larger-than life light displays that make for the perfect Instagram photo-op. As you get further into the park – you’ll find Main Street is decked out head-to-toe with lights, trees, vendors and more.
We quickly hurried to the back of the park to catch the 6 PM lighting of the park’s iconic 65-foot Christmas tree and trust us when we say it’s a sight to see. Once we took some time to snap a few pics, we grabbed a seasonal drink from J.M. Mulvihills Pub and continued on to take in the holiday lights. The highlight (no pun intended) of the light displays was the 300-foot candy cane tunnel that made for a great photo-op that will definitely make it on our holiday cards.
We also rode some of our favorite Elitch’s rides – a first for us in November, and felt like we were kids all over again. What we loved most about the experience was that we could take the park in at our own pace and see/do as much or as little as we wanted; things felt slower, more magical, and made us completely forget about the hustle and bustle of this time of year. We have a feeling we’ll be back soon!
IT’S LIT!
We would sincerely like to thank Luminova Holidays for an incredible kickoff to our holiday season. We absolutely loved our visit and would also like to thank the wonderful Elitch Gardens’ staff that helped make it merry and bright. Be sure to keep an eye our for our annual December bucket list for more holiday fun!
