Where Buffalo Bill’s Museum & Grave is located along with a stunning view overlooking the city of Golden. Lookout Mountain, Colorado 80401.
8am
Travel just a few miles down the road to the small town of Morrison where you can drive up to the marvelous Red Rocks Amphitheatre where each morning yoga classes are held. You can exercise by going on one of the many hiking paths Red Rocks has to offer, or just take a look around one of earths many beautiful creations. 18300 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison, CO 80465
9am – 10am
Make your way back down Red Rocks to get to Morrison Road where you’ll eat breakfast at Red Rocks Grill located at 415 Bear Creek Ave, Morrison CO 80465. You have delicious options to choose from!
10am – 11:30am
Cruise on down to the gorgeous panorama of the Denver Botanic Gardens located at 1007 York St, Denver, CO 80206, Where you can gaze at the hundreds of magnificent plants located within the Gardens walls.
11:30am – 1pm
Ride over to 16th Street Mall where you can walk around and take a look at some stores if you want. You will see anything from street performers during a normal day or the zombies that arise from the ground in October on Zombie Crawl day. There’s many places you can visit on 16th Street Mall, such as the famous Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and get anything such as a caramel covered apple, chocolate dipped strawberries, or vast amounts of truffles. 500 16th St, Denver, CO 80202.
Then you can travel down to Union Station (which actually survived a horrible fire). 1701 Wynkoop Street, Denver, CO 80202
Also, every St. Patrick’s Day there’s an annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade where families and friends can gather around to have a fantastic day!
1pm – 2:30pm
It’s time to catch some lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe Denver. You can choose if you want to sit upstairs or downstairs, and you can go over to the gift shop after your meal if you’d like! You can take a look at the menu here. Denver Pavilions, 500 16th St #120, Denver, CO 80202
2:30pm – 4:30pm
After lunch you can have some free time to do whatever you want within the city. My recommendation is visiting the Colorado State Capitol where if you walk up to the 13th step you will be standing 5,280 feet above sea level, exactly a mile high! Located at: 200 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80203.
Just walking around the City alone is mesmerizing and an experience you won’t forget! You can travel around and see why Coloradans love it here so much. You can go over to Elitch Gardens and take a short elevator ride up to the top of the White Tower where you can see all of Denver or you can go over to the Mile High Stadium and see the Bronco statues that are outside the field that every fan loves to see. 1701 Bryant St, Denver, CO 80204.
4:30pm – 6pm
Now it’s time to sit back and relax for a little while at the Cruise Room located in the Oxford Hotel where you can sit and unwind getting the 1930s experience of a cocktail lounge. It’s fashioned after a lounge on the Queen Mary, and the original chrome and neon reflect onto the wall panels depicting light-hearted “toasts” from across the world. 1600 17th St, Denver, CO 80202
6pm
Dinner time has arrived and you’ll be dining at the Tavern Downtown where you can dance on the dance floor, or go to the arcade and play some games! At the same time, if there’s any sports game going on you’ll see it! The Tavern has giant HD televisions that play every game you can possibly think of throughout the entire restaurant.
9pm – (whenever you get tired)
You’re headed down to BETA Nightclub where you can hear some of the hottest beats around! There will be lots of people to meet, and friends to make, you’ll have a great time dancing and letting loose, or letting your inner party animal out! 1909 Blake St, Denver, CO 80202
It’s time to say goodnight to the beautiful Denver City. You’ve only experienced a quarter of the best things to do around Colorado. There’s many other things that you can do that aren’t within the city limits that are very enjoyable and exciting! Some of those things include driving up to any mountain, for example Mount Evans where Echo Lake is located.
The drive is twisty along the mountain side so it’s best if you pay attention! If you have more than a day in Colorado you should definitely see what other beautiful sceneries you can get our eyes on within the Colorado Borders, there’s plenty to do and lots to see! Enjoy Colorful Colorado while you can.
