Barr Lake State Park is hosting a family-friendly Great American Eclipse event. The solar eclipse is not just about seeing the eclipse, it is also a chance for children and adults to learn about space and the outdoors. It’s a chance to experience one of the rarest celestial phenomenons in your lifetime.

Fun experiments and special viewing setups provided including kids crafts provided by Colorado Parks Foundation.

CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF DENVER AT MARSICO CAMPUS’ SOLAR ECLIPSE VIEWING

Where: Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus, 2121 Children’s Museum Dr, Denver, CO 80211

Join the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus outside in Joy Park to observe the 2017 solar eclipse at their Solar Eclipse Viewing event. Discover the phenomena of a solar eclipse with inflatable 3D models of the Earth and moon, and real sunshine. Then, borrow a pair of solar eclipse glasses, courtesy of Denver Astronomical Society, to safely spend a few moments observing the moon pass between the sun and Earth.

Kiddos will also get to design their own solar system and eclipse using moon and Earth stamps and out-of-this-world space stickers.

CIVIC CENTER PARK’S SOLAR ECLIPSE WATCHING

Where: Civic Center Park, 101 14th Avenue, Denver, CO 80204

Time: 10:20am – 1:15pm

Civic Center Conservancy is hosting a Solar Eclipse Watching event at Civic Center Park. In downtown Denver, the solar eclipse will begin at 10:23 AM and conclude at 1:15 PM, with the peak occurring at 11:47 AM when the moon obscures 92.4% of the sun.

DECLARATION BREWING SOLAR ECLIPSE VIEWING PARTY

Where: Declaration Brewing Company, 2030 S Cherokee St, Denver, CO 80223

Time: 10am – 1pm

Come down to Declaration Brewing and participate in their Solar Eclipse Viewing Party. Get two pairs of glasses and a Crowler from their Signature Beer Series for only $15. Want to watch it anywhere? HALFPENNY BREWING COMPANY’S ECLIPSE 2017

Where: Halfpenny Brewing Company, 5150 East Arapahoe Road, Unit D1-B, Centennial, CO 80122

Time: 11am – 2pm

Halfpenny Brewing Company will be opening early on Monday with a special Eclipse 2017 event. They will have solar glasses available, and you can chat or ask questions with Chris R, who was a volunteer for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

KOKOPELLI BEER COMPANY’S SPECIAL ECLIPSE TAPPING OF NIGHT THUNDER

Where: Kokopelli Beer Company, 8931 Harlan St, Westminster, CO 80031

Time: 11am – 9pm

Kokopelli Beer Company saved a special keg of their Imperial Black IPA, Night Thunder, to celebrate the eclipse. Bring your eclipse glasses and come watch this rare event while sipping on their balanced ale.

LODO’S BAR & GRILL ECLIPSE ROOFTOP PARTY

Where: Lodo’s Bar & Grill, 1946 Market St, Denver, CO 80202

Time: 11am – 2pm

Witness history at Lodo’s Bar & Grill‘s Eclipse Rooftop Party. Lagunitas and Stone will be providing the eclipse shades to make sure no one hurts their eyes. Come grab a bite to eat and have a beer or two to watch and celebrate the eclipse. They will also feature specials on Lagunitas and Stone.

TAVERN LITTLETON’S ECLIPSE-O-RAMA

Where: Tavern Littleton, 2589 W Main St, Littleton, CO 80120

Time: 11am – 1pm

Join Tavern Littleton on their rooftop patio, as they celebrate Eclipse-O-Rama, the unusual phenomena of the Solar Eclipse. They’ll have food and drink specials and free eclipse viewing glasses.

An expert from the Arapahoe Community College Astronomy Department, will also be on site and will give a brief talk on eclipse phenomena and will be available to answer questions.

VIEWHOUSE’S ECLIPSE VIEWING ROOFTOP PARTIES

Where: ViewHouse Ballpark, ViewHouse Centennial & ViewHouse Littleton

Time: 10am – 3pm

A once-in-a-generation celestial event will take place, and ViewHouse – with their iconic rooftops – is throwing a VIEWing party at all three locations. ViewHouse will open their doors early on Monday, and welcome viewers of the solar eclipse. The first 40 guests at each location will be given a free pair of Solar Eclipse Glasses so that they can safely watch this rare event.

In celebration ViewHouse will have special eclipse food and beverage features including Blue Moon Beers for $3, Breakfast Burritos for $5, as well as a $10 lunch combo menu.
