Solutions Lounge & Restaurant Featuring Escapology®, located in the heart of Denver, at 22nd and California will be the city’s first and only escape room complex that also serves a full food and beverage menu.
Slated to open October 2017, this 6,100 square foot area will be a new kind of entertainment venue, where guests can adventure into one of the seven themed escape rooms, dine and drink in the steampunk-inspired restaurant and bar, or enjoy any combination of activities back-to-back.
No other escape room or restaurant in Denver offers an experience quite like this, a place to feel adventurous and satisfied at the same time.
“It’s not just an escape room,” Co-Founder, Vic Ronder remarks, “that was the idea my wife, Tina, and I had when we envisioned this venture. We enjoyed our experience in escape rooms in Denver and other places, but we felt that something was missing— and that was food and beverages.” The Ronders believe the escape room and restaurant scene in Denver will be the perfect setting to launch such a venture.
Participating in an escape room improves teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills, making it a good choice for date night, family outings, business parties, corporate functions, meeting new people, holiday events and more.
At the time of opening there will be four of the seven escape rooms open: Arizona Shoot-Out, Shanghaied, The Code, and Cuban Crisis. The final three rooms will open before the holiday season. Co-founders Tina and Vic Ronder are excited to work with the Escapology® franchise, a nationwide company that coordinates the themes and design of rooms.
The restaurant and bar, which is also accessible to guests who are not attempting an escape room, will feature a largely cheese-centric menu, including a Fromage a Raclette experience, melted tableside on a neo-Victorian bar cart.
Darian Blackwell, a Denver native who has worked in a handful of local restaurants as executive and sous chef, will be the executive chef at Solutions Lounge & Restaurant Featuring Escapology®. Guests can expect rich, savory and tempting menu items like the Bacon Mac-and-Cheese, Artisan Cheese Plate, and the Curried Potato Sammie.
Though food and beverages will not be allowed inside the escape rooms, participants can elongate their live-escape adventure by dining and drinking before or after gameplay. Special cocktails and “mocktails” that compliment each escape room theme will be available in the bar. Gamers can prepare for the room, celebrate their success, or plot their next attempt while imbibing.
