Denver Beer Co.’s Free Block Party this Saturday, July 9th: Mile High Summer Shindig
Denver Beer Co., in partnership with Outdoor Project, is hosting a FREE admission outdoor block party, the Mile High Summer Shindig.
On Saturday, July 9 from 11am– 8pm, enjoy live music all day including headliner The Gin Doctors and local bands Gravity Tapes, The Dollhouse Thieves, Confluence, Modern Leisure, Josh Moorehead; Craft beer including a special taping of a very seasonable petite saison brewed in collaboration with Base Camp Brewing Company out of Portland, Oregon; Games, gear demos, and giveaways from co-sponsors Zeal Optics, Montbell, Guerrilla Gravity, Kelty, Mountainsmith, Mile High Clothing Company, COMBA, and Spyder. Proceeds from pint sales will go to charity partner First Descents.

Brass Under Glass Free Concert Outdoors at Denver Center for the Performing Arts

Stanley Marketplace will be Denver’s Next Go-To Location for Shopping, Dining & Entertainment–Seriously!
On New Year’s Day 2016, we featured Stanley Marketplace in our Top 8 Denver Secrets for 2016 article. Over the year 2015, we’ve received so many notifications of new restaurants and businesses that are joining Stanley Marketplace, that we figured the list can’t grow too much after that. I mean hey, there were already 30 businesses announced, how many more are left to join? Well we were wrong… apparently there are a lot more joining Stanley Marketplace since our last announcement such as:
- Glazed & Confuzed will be the second storefront for the gourmet donut brand, which has served inventive pastries since its founding in 2012.
- Enshin Karate will offer the Enshin Karate method, fitness kickboxing, personal training, Tai chi and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
- True, a new boutique concept from the owner of Kismet, will work with clients from a holistic standpoint; in addition to clothing, accessories, beauty products, gifts and home décor, the boutique will offer expert styling services through a membership program, as well as a team of certified life and wellness coaches.

Annette, a brand new concept is the first-ever restaurant by former Acorn Sous Chef Caroline Glover, will join and it will focus on scratch-to-table and wood-fired fare.
- Yellowbelly Chicken, will join and will serve fried and roasted chicken paired with fresh, seasonal sides. Yellowbelly Chicken currently has locations in Boulder and Vail, but the owners will consider Stanley Marketplace to be the brand’s flagship store.
- OPENAir Academy, a unique early childhood learning center, will open its third location at Stanley with learning centers already stationed in Reunion and RiNo.
- Infinite Monkey Theorem will open a taproom within Stanley Marketplace, and will be the second Colorado location for the popular urban winery, and third location overall, with roots already planted in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood, as well as a recently opened location in Austin, Texas.
- Sterre, a women’s boutique will feature clothing and accessories from both emerging and established designers. Inspired by European boutiques and the travels of founder Danielle Van Ede, Sterre will feature a rotating selection of high-quality and fashion-forward items.
- Starling Wine & Whiskey Bar, a new concept will specialize in an approachable selection of wine, whiskey, desserts, meats and cheeses, as well as pairings.
- Savory Spice, will operate a kiosk at the community marketplace featuring more than 400 freshly ground herbs and spices, as well as more than 160 handcrafted seasonings.
- MindCraft, an off-shoot of Lowry’s eXL Learning, will offer a unique retail component, featuring engineering kits and other products promoting critical thinking, as well as a DIY-focused creative space where all ages can gather to learn and invent. It will also highlight new technologies, such as 3-D printers, CNC machines, scanners and laser cutters.
- Maria Empanada, will serve a variety of artisan empanadas, savory tarts and Argentinian pastries.

Velvet Wolf will open a second location. Velvet Wolf sells fashion-forward clothing and accessories at a guilt-free price point, as well as its own line of handmade soaps, candles and skin essentials, Velvet Wolf Apothecary.
- Hot Mamas Exercise, a women-only fitness studio will open a second location as well. Hot Mamas Exercise offers innovative, challenging and effective group classes, developed by fitness industry leader Teddi Bryant. Childcare, a nutrition program and fitness retreats are also offered.

Trunk Nouveau, will offer handcrafted jewelry, unique gifts, and notions from local and independent artists, as well as host an ongoing trunk show series, which will highlight various local artists and Colorado makers.
With another 14 businesses joining the already-impressive 30 previously announced, surely the list is rounded-up already at this point… or is it?

- Great Divide Brewing Company has released several seasonal beers to quench your thirst: the 22nd Anniversary Dark American Sour Ale, Hoss Oktoberfest Lager, Nadia Kali and Oatmeal Yeti;
- The Crimson Room just launched its new summer cocktails: Soul Sauce, Take the “A” Train, Bag’s Groove, Speak No Evil, Watermelon Man and The Breezin’.
- Nocturne will launch a new summer tasting menu inspired by Led Zeppelin’s iconic album, “Houses of the Holy.” To launch the “Houses of the Holy” menu, Nocturne will host a one-night Renditions concert event featuring Dave Devine Trio, which coincides with the beginning of the group’s artist-in-residence series at Nocturne, where they will take the stage every Wednesday through August.
- The Ritz-Carlton Spa in Denver has launched a special Summer Bliss Day Package With Vodka-Infused Pedicure. The package includes a 50-minute Swedish Clementine Oil Massage with aromatic hints of Clementine, Orange Peel and Jojoba, an Antioxidant-Rich Organic Facial using lemon, strawberry and Aloe extracts, and end it with a Watermelon Vodkatini Pedicure, (yes there is really vodka in it, which helps to soften, tone and cleanse your skin). Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star, Erika Jayne, to Perform Live at Tracks
One of reality television’s biggest stars, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne, will return to Denver’s Tracks nightclub on Saturday, July 30th for a live musical performance. Erika joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season Six and has become a fan favorite and breakout star. Pre-sale tickets are only $10 and include a meet-and-greet with Erika. Ages 21+. La Loma Open for Business in its Current Location Through August: New Locations Lined Up
La Loma‘s original location is open until the end of August 2016. That means one more glorious summer of lingering on the La Loma patio and enjoying the character of the original location. In the next couple of months, the much-loved Tex-Mex staple will have a new home in the downtown area, and soon after that, construction will begin on a new flagship location near the Denver Aquarium. The downtown location will be announced soon, and construction of the new flagship building will be complete in the next year.
